Custom 4-Day Carbine and Vehicle Elements Theory Course - Civilian & LEO Description

The course cost is $1300/student and includes the range fee ($50) and lunch. Course registration will be collected directly by Longmonth Colorado PD. Ammo - 200 rounds handgun and 2000 rounds carbine.

This custom 4-day course will provide training in the areas of Carbine train the trainer, and vehicle elements theory instruction.

The carbine portion of the course will be starting with mindset, the class focuses on the core foundation of accuracy, acceptable accuracy under dynamic stress, and how to effectively balance speed and accuracy with proper weapon manipulation.

The vehicle portion of the course will provide students with the knowledge to successfully demonstrate competence in worldly scenarios involving vehicles. This course will teach students proper weapon manipulation techniques for specific use in close proximity to vehicles. The primary focus of instruction will be to show how to successfully utilize handguns and carbines, both around and inside vehicles, and use these seemingly obtrusive objects to their advantage.

  • Movement drills and improvised shooting positions around vehicles

Recommended Equipment

  • Ammo - 200 rounds handgun and 2000 rounds carbine.
  • A functional and practical handgun chambered in 9mm, .40 cal, or .45 ACP. If available, a spare weapon system is also an excellent idea.
  • A functional and practical carbine or battle rifle chambered in 5.56x45, 5.45x39, 300 Blackout, 7.62x39, 7.62x51. A secondary weapon (handgun) of choice. If available, a spare weapon system is also an excellent idea.  
  • A cleaning kit and tools that are compatible with the weapon system(s) in question is also a must.
  • Each student should have a minimum of 5 working magazines for each weapon system. Single stack drivers should have double.
  • Note pad, and pen/pencil
  • Clothing suited to strenuous activity as well as being seasonally appropriate
  • Rain gear / cold weather gear (seasonal)
  • Ear pro (electronic preferred) / Eye pro
  • Baseball style hat recommended
  • Proper belt to support equipment
  • Carbine magazine pouches, Battle belt, or Chest rig Handgun (secondary weapon), magazines
  • Tools that work on your weapon
  • Weapons lube
  • Water hydrating device
  • Knee and elbow pads (optional)
  • Gloves (optional)
  • An open mind
