Premier Training – Vehicle Course Description

**This course can be completed in any combination of handgun only; handgun & carbine; handgun & shotgun. ** Recommended ammo counts for these configurations are listed in the equipment list below.

Vehicle will provide students with the knowledge to successfully demonstrate competence in worldly scenarios involving vehicles. This course will teach students proper weapon manipulation techniques for specific use in close proximity to vehicles. The primary focus of instruction will be to show how to successfully utilize handguns and carbines, both around and inside vehicles, and use these seemingly obtrusive objects to their advantage.

Requirements: Carbine 1 and Handgun 1 or similar.

Cost: $800 Training fee only.

Class sizes are capped at 18 students instead of the usual 23, allowing for more individually specialized training. Sample 3-Day Course Schedule:

Night before course:  6:00PM course registration check-in followed by check-in dinner at Defender Ranch.

Day 1: 7:15AM breakfast; 8:00 shuttle to range; 4:30PM finish class at range, shuttle back to cabin; 6:00 dinner.

Day 2: 7:15AM breakfast; 8:00 shuttle to range; 4:30PM finish class at range, shuttle back to cabin; 6:00 dinner.

Day 3: 7:15AM breakfast; 8:00 shuttle to range; 4:30PM finish class at range, shuttle back to cabin; 6:00 dinner & graduation.

Defender Ranch offers world-class firearms training on an exclusive and secluded 100% off grid ranch in South-central Idaho, far from population centers.  The ranch features a variety of ranges built into the hillsides of a beautiful valley surrounded by towering and spectacular rhyolite rock formations.  When the training day is over, guests can relax in the lodge or get out and enjoy the seclusion and amazing views.  Guests may also enjoy hiking, fishing in one of four privately stocked ponds, archery, axe throwing, or winding down around the fire after dinner and ‘shooting the bull’ with other guests.

Firearms training takes place on 5 different ranges (some turf covered) including 4 pistol bays, 1 carbine bay and 2 long-range shooting areas, the longest reaching out more than a mile in total distance.

The facility at Defender Ranch offers options from all meals to on-property guest accommodations. All lodging and meal reservations will be made directly with Defender Ranch.

On-property Lodging & Meals:

Option 1:  Basic Access:

The basic access option includes only the range access fee, range restroom, and water refill station. Each student will need to make their own reservations for lodging and meals out in town. There are a number of options ranging drive times of 15minutes (Gooding) to 40minutes (Twin Falls) from the ranch.

$300 Basic Includes:

– Range Access Only

– Includes restroom on range and water refill station.

Option 2:  Premium Access:

Each 4-night block is all inclusive and costs $1500. This includes the off-grid full facility experience with catered meals, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, single-occupancy cabin, range access, etc. You drive in the evening before the first day of class, and unless you want to drive your vehicle to the range, there is no reason to drive again until the course is over. The remote environment offers a great opportunity to unplug and immerse yourself in the Idaho countryside and companionship of the other students staying on property.

Equipment List

Students provide their own ammo: 1600 rounds minimum. Multiple calibers may be used throughout this course. Drills can be modified to accommodate a lower round count. **Handgun Only (1,600 rounds of handgun ammo); **Handgun & Carbine (1,600 rounds total: 800 rounds of each handgun & carbine); **Handgun & PCC Pistol Caliber Carbine (1600 rounds total: 800 rounds handgun & 800 rounds PCC.)

Hardware – A functional and practical handgun chambered in 9mm, .40 cal, or .45 ACP. If available, a spare weapon system is also an excellent idea.

A functional and practical carbine or battle rifle chambered in 5.56×45, 5.45×39, 300 Blackout, 7.62×39, 7.62×51. If available, a spare weapon system is also an excellent idea.

• Clothing suited to strenuous activity as well as being seasonally appropriate
